PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE<\/strong><\/p>\n

The next couple of months are a busy time for the club.\u00a0 We have shows to prepare for in both Torrance and Gardena. Prepping trees, accent plants, cleaning stands and jita for display is a time consuming effort.\u00a0We have plenty of work for those who wish to help. If you would like to show a tree at the Bunka Sai Festival in Torrance we have 5 spots for trees, we also have demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday.\u00a0Show setup is Friday starting at 1:00pm any help would be appreciated.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Our 40th\u00a0Annual show and sale is fast approaching, May 9th\u00a0and 10th.\u00a0We are looking for trees for the show, if you need help prepping or getting your display ready let me or Rod know.\u00a0We will need help with all aspects of the show,\u00a0table setup and prep, setup of the trees and displays, getting the sales area.<\/p>\n

Ready,\u00a0help with the beginners workshop, working the sales area,\u00a0prepping for the Saturday dinner, cleanup and breakdown of the show.\u00a0Yes its never ending and full of small jobs to complete.\u00a0PLEASE HELP US!<\/p>\n

If you have any questions or would like to donate your time for any jobs talk with our Show Chair Rod Vilencia.<\/p>\n

Our April presenter will be\u00a0Ryan Pitts.\u00a0Ryan studied Bonsai under Master David Nguy of Bonsai Jidai. He is the Past President of Chino Bonsai Club, the Co-Chairman of the John Naka Memorial Exhibition in Los Angeles, and his award-winning work has been in several exhibitions. He often travels, doing private collection work, performing demonstrations, and conducting workshops for clubs and shows around California.<\/p>\n
