PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Its going to be an exciting month for bonsai, we have the Naka Memorial Exhibit Bonsai Show. This will be held during the 2nd week of Nisei week August 16th and 17th at the George J. Doizaki Gallery. There should be 30+ bonsai from the bonsai community, please stop by and show your support for Julian Tsai.
This month we have a very talented bonsai artist, anyone who has been to the Huntington Gardens and visited the Chinese gardens has seen his work. Please come out and support Che Zhao Sheng talk and demonstrate his knowledge of the Lingnan school of Penjing. Mr. Che will be assisted by his daughter Cindy Dennison.
The next few months will see a rise in bonsai events nationally, the US National Bonsai Exhibition is in September, running at the same time is the American Bonsai Society/ABS learning Seminars these will be held in Rodchester, NY. The GSBF Rendevoux will be held in October in Santa Nella, CA with two great headliners Suthin Sukosolvisit and Maruo Stemberger.
