PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Hi everyone, I hope everyone is staying cool and hydrated during these hot and humid days. Everybody has a unique watering schedule based on their trees, where they live, and finally what their water condition is. You can follow the youtube guys and talk with professionals, but in the end it’s up to you to find what works best for you and your trees. Shade cloth, styrofoam covers, double potting, many things will work and can be either expensive or cost cutting DIY projects, protect those babies from the heat. That’s the end of my rant for the month, as I write this another heat wave is moving in the area so time to water.
We have a nonconventional bonsai demonstration this month, it pertains to bonsai via a pot perspective. Miya Smith is a Silversmith by trade and training, she will delve into the art of Kintsugi. The Japanese Art of repairing pottery using century old techniques.
